Last updated: March 19, 2026

1. Copyright Policy

1Anime respects intellectual property rights and responds to notices of alleged infringement that comply with applicable law, including the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

This page explains how rights holders can submit notices and how users can submit counter-notifications.

2. How to Submit a DMCA Notice

If you believe content available through 1Anime infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated copyright contact.

To be effective, your notice must include all required elements.

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  • Identification of the allegedly infringing material and sufficient information to locate it (exact URL(s) preferred).
  • Your full legal name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the owner.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

3. Notice Review and Takedown Process

After receiving a notice, we review it for completeness and legal sufficiency.

If valid, we may remove or disable access to the reported material and may notify the affected account holder.

If a notice is incomplete, we may request additional information before acting.

4. Counter-Notification

If you believe your material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification.

A valid counter-notice must include:

  • Identification of the material removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
  • Your full legal name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification.
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court and accept service of process from the notifying party or its agent.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

5. Reinstatement

If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the content in accordance with applicable law unless the original complainant informs us that legal action has been filed within the required period.

6. Repeat Infringer Policy

In appropriate circumstances, we may suspend or terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

We may also limit account privileges where repeated valid notices indicate ongoing policy violations.

7. Misrepresentation

Submitting knowingly false claims in notices or counter-notices may result in legal liability. Submit only accurate and complete information.
